Reborn Story #13066
The First Pair
People always ask me why I keep a pair of beat-up Air Jordan 1s in a glass case instead of buying a fresh pair.
The answer is simple. They were the first sneakers I ever bought with my own paycheck.
I was sixteen. Every Friday after school I worked at a grocery store stacking shelves until midnight. Three months later I finally had enough money. Walking out of that store with the orange Nike box under my arm felt like I owned the world.
Those Jordans carried me through my first basketball tournament, my graduation, my first date… even my first job interview.
They’re creased. Yellowed. Worn. But every scratch belongs to me.
Fashion isn’t always about what’s new. Sometimes it’s about remembering who you used to be.
