FAQ.

Bidding, sizing, shipping and returns. If your question is not here, email hello@enigmascult.com.

How does authentication work?

Every pair that passes through us is checked by hand before it is listed. Our team inspects construction, stitching, materials, tooling, box and label details against known factory references, and anything that cannot be confirmed does not go on sale.nnAuthentication is expert judgement rather than a laboratory certificate, so please read the note at the foot of our Terms & Conditions. If you ever believe an item is not what we said it was, email hello@enigmascult.com and we will investigate — your statutory rights are not affected by our own checks.

When am I charged for a winning bid?

Your card is not charged when you bid. Placing a bid saves your card securely with Stripe and authorises us to charge it if you win.nnWhen the lot closes, if you are the highest bidder and the reserve has been met, we charge that saved card automatically for your winning amount and create your order. You will get an email either way — whether you won, were outbid, or the reserve was not reached.

Why do I need a card on file to bid?

Because a bid is a commitment. Auctions only work if the winning bid can actually be collected, so we ask for a card up front and charge it at close rather than chasing payment afterwards.nnYou can add or remove cards under Payment methods in your account. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe holds it and gives us a token.

Can I retract a bid?

No. Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn once placed, so please check the amount before you confirm. If you win, you can still exercise your 14-day right of withdrawal after delivery in the same way as any other order — see Shipping & Returns.

What is a reserve price?

A reserve is the minimum we will accept for a lot. It stays hidden while bidding is open. If the auction ends below the reserve, nobody wins, no card is charged, and the lot goes back for a future drop.

What happens if someone bids in the final seconds?

The clock extends. If a bid lands inside the lot’s anti-snipe window, the end time moves out so everyone gets a fair chance to respond. A lot can therefore close a little later than its published end time, and it only closes once the bidding has genuinely stopped.

What is Buy It Now on an auction?

Some lots carry a Buy It Now price that lets you skip the bidding and buy outright through normal checkout. It disappears once bidding passes that figure, and it is first come, first served — the lot is sold to whoever completes checkout first.

Can I return an item?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you are cancelling the order, and a further 14 days to send it back. We give this on every order, wherever you are shopping from, and if the law where you live gives you a stronger right that one applies instead. Items must come back unworn and complete, with the box and tags as you received them.nnThis applies to auction wins too. Mystery Boxes are the one exception — see below. Full detail, including how refunds are calculated, is on the Shipping & Returns page.

How much does shipping cost?

Greece €5.90, free over €120. Europe €14.90, free over €180. North America €19.90, Asia and the Middle East €24.90, and the rest of the world €29.90 — each free over €250.nnThe exact figure is confirmed at checkout. Duties and import taxes outside the EU are not included and are the recipient’s responsibility.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched from Athens. Most pairs leave us within 1–2 working days of the order being confirmed, or of an auction being charged. Delivery is typically 1–3 working days within Greece, 3–7 across Europe, and 5–14 for the rest of the world. Tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel is collected.

What is a Mystery Box?

A curated pair chosen by us rather than by you, sold at a set price with the model revealed on opening. Boxes are members-only, so you will need to be signed in to see them.nnBecause the contents are the whole point, a Mystery Box cannot be returned simply because you would have preferred something else. Your rights if a box arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described are untouched.

You do not have my size. Can you find it?

Yes — that is what a hunt is. Use Find It At My Price, tell us the model, size and the figure you are willing to pay, and we will go looking. There is no charge for asking and no obligation on either side until we come back to you with a pair and a price you accept.Hunt negotiations are handled over WhatsApp.

Are sizes EU, US or UK?

All three. Product pages default to EU and let you switch to US or UK, and the price updates with the size you pick because different sizes can carry different prices. If you are between sizes or unsure, email us before you buy rather than after.

How do I sign in?

With an email address and password, or with your Google or Discord account. Signing in with Google or Discord tells us your name and email address and nothing else — we never receive your password, and you can set a password later if you would rather not use them.

What is Reborn?

Reborn is our gallery of restored and reworked pairs, with the story of each one. If you want a pair of yours considered, use Submit Your Story. We will always ask before publishing anything you send us.
